The Missoula Healthy Indian Families Consortium formed in December 2002, bringing those working with and advocating for Indian people together with those working in the field of intimate partner violence prevention and advocacy.

 Restoring the Circle of Care Training Conference:

Walking Together -
The Path Of Traditional Healing


This innovate conference will bring together Missoula Indian families and service providers to explore the effects of historical trauma and domestic violence and to experience a model of traditional intervention. 

Conference topics include:
  • Tribal historical trauma and cultural resilience
  • Personal experience with a Domestic Violence homicide which affects an entire community and leaves a bereaved family
  • A man's journey to wellness
  • Critical legal issues
  • Assessment from a multi-cultural perspective
